　生産者のナンシー氏は今や自身のカフェを4店舗も経営されていますが、幼い頃は恵まれた環境ではなく、学校には行かないで家政婦やコーヒー収穫で山に1ヶ月籠るなどして昼夜問わず働き、家族を支えていました。
　16歳で地元のコーヒー農協の清掃員として就職し、勤勉な働きぶりが評価され、カッピング(テイスティング)の部署へ異動。持ち前の真面目さで頭角を現し、農協の推薦でカッピングの学校に行き、技術を伸ばしました。
　その後、ホンジュラスで女性初のカップオブエクセレンスの審査員となり、ホンジュラスのコーヒー界でレジェンド的存在となりました。
